To prohibit data centers from passing electricity costs on to consumers.
Voted Against Data Center Regulation
She chose utility companies and big tech over working families.
She voted against making massive data centers pay their own power costs.
That same day, her campaign reported $1,100 from utility PACs.
Pennsylvania House journal, March 24, 2026; Official roll call.
A former lobbyist, Valerie Gaydos showed her true colors by siding with big tech corporations to pass electricity costs to our neighbors. She voted to allow data centers to use energy from the public grid, then accepted a payout from predatory utility companies the same day.
The truth couldn’t be clearer: Valerie Gaydos is owned by big tech corporations who are profiting off our communities, and she doesn’t care if your electricity bill goes sky-high.
Standing Against Tax Cuts and Rebates for Families
To cut taxes and ease the financial burdens of working Pennsylvania families.
To save customers money on their electric bills.
Valerie Gaydos says she’ll lower our taxes and electric bills, but when House Democrats gave her an opportunity, she voted NO. As out-of-control prices squeeze working families, Valerie refuses to make life cheaper. Instead, she hangs her constituents out to dry and passes the blame.
Opposing Workers’ Rights and Raising the Minimum Wage
To increase protections for hotel workers against sexual assault.
To increase workplace protections for factory workers in dangerous conditions.
To increase the minimum wage to $15 per hour by 2029.
Valerie Gaydos claims to be "pro-worker," yet she consistently votes against legislation that would make hard-working Pennsylvanians’ lives better. When factory workers in dangerous conditions fought for health and safety protections, Valerie said NO. When hotel staff spoke up for protections from sexual assault, Valerie kicked them to the curb. And when underpaid employees across the commonwealth stood up to raise the minimum wage from $7.25, lower than any state that borders Pennsylvania, Valerie refused.
Standing Against Child Safety and Public Education
To guarantee basic education funding increases.
To require schools to offer age-appropriate education for students, parents, and teachers on signs of child abuse.
To eliminate school meal debt for children and their families.
To create anti-suicide safeguards for dangerous AI companionship apps.
To introduce Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library program statewide.
Valerie Gaydos claims to protect our children, but her voting record shows total disregard for them. She voted NO on legislation that would help school districts prevent child abuse, even though over half of all states in the U.S. already have laws like these. She voted against saving school districts millions and guaranteeing basic increases in education funding. She even voted against clearing school meal debt for children and families in need.
When it was time to regulate dangerous AI companionship chatbots, Valerie sided with big tech profits over childhood suicide prevention. And the bill that would’ve provided free books to children statewide through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library program? You guessed it: NO.
One thing is clear: Valerie Gaydos has betrayed our children.
Voting for Elder Exploitation
To strengthen protections against elder exploitation.
Protecting seniors from financial exploitation passed with support from both parties. Gaydos was one of the 49.
When a bipartisan coalition voted to keep senior citizens safe from financial exploitation, one of the most common forms of elder abuse, Valerie Gaydos said NO. Instead of taking care of those who took care of us, Valerie stood with the financial institutions that would have taken a loss. She had the chance to protect our seniors from scams, but she turned her back on them instead.
